International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated globally on March 8th every year. This day is dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and also serves as a call to action for gender parity.
Why is this day so important? The importance of the women's rights movement cannot be overstated. For many years, women have been subjected to discrimination and inequality in different aspects of life, including education, employment, and political representation.
Women's rights activists and advocates have fought tirelessly to ensure that women have equal opportunities and access to resources, including health care, education, and economic opportunities.
How can we improve? One of the ways that workplaces can contribute to the advancement of gender equity is by embracing diversity and inclusivity in their hiring practices.
