A partnership between Place Support Partnership (PSP) and North Notts Business Improvement District (BID) has proven incredibly successful since its programme launch in 2022 in delivering both astronomical cost savings and supported a successful second-term BID renewal.
The North Notts Cost Reduction Service launched at the start of the BIDs second term and can be accessed by BID member businesses across the whole district of Bassetlaw in North Nottinghamshire. In just 16 months, 59 businesses have engaged with the service. The support has been delivered across many different sectors including retail, night-time economy, leisure, hospitality, logistics and industrial.
Rishi Sood, Managing Director of PSP, commented: "The ability and commitment of our team means we understand the value of providing real on-the-ground support and discussion with businesses to truly understand their needs. We are delighted to have identified a huge amount of savings in North Notts."
To date, £277,000 of savings have been identified for BID members in North Notts with £124,000 realised to date. College Pines Golf Club in Worksop was one business that has accessed this service with savings identified on both water and energy bills. Through bespoke solutions and trusted advice they have now saved a good sum of money, achieving a real ‘hole-in-one’.
Max, Director at College Pines Golf Club, states: “I recently had the opportunity to engage with North Notts BID and I must say that their service was outstanding. The team was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly efficient in handling our needs. The process from initial contact to project completion was seamless, making it evident that the organisation is committed to excellence. I was thoroughly impressed with the speed and quality of their service, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their expertise.”
Sally Gillborn MBE, Chief Executive at North Notts BID, commented: "By working in collaboration with PSP we are able to offer real value to our member businesses and help the community thrive in challenging times. The scheme aligns with our long-term vision of creating sustainable support to the businesses across the District. We are delighted to see the fantastic results achieved to date."
PSP also supported North Notts BID with the renewal ballot in 2022 by assisting with pre-ballot engagement with members. Over 600 onsite meetings were held with member businesses and voting intentions were identified in the lead up to the ballot.
Through a successful re-ballot the benefits for the area are enormous, with over £4m being invested across 5 years on key projects and services to support BID members and to help improve and boost the local economy.
Steve Corderoy-Foster, Operations & Projects Manager at North Notts BID, commented: " As an area-wide BID, our BID members are spread over 246sq miles. The feet-on-the-ground work from PSP ensured that we had a thorough consultation with our BID members prior to the ballot and undoubtedly helped us to secure a successful reballot. The support we received has been invaluable."
