Launched in partnership between PSP and Haringey Council, SustainHaringey is a programme to support Haringey businesses to reduce business costs and carbon. This programme is funded by the Levelling Up Fund.
To date, the SustainHaringey programme has identified savings of £261,702!
We would like to share some case studies from 5 businesses directly benefiting from the programme.
Mr Stitch
Mr Stitch contacted the SustainHaringey team due to feeling they were being overcharged by their water supplier. A PSP Place Savings consultant conducted an audit making savings of £168 by changing suppliers, which the business was not aware was an option to them.
On further inspection the SustainHaringey team identified a further annual saving of £300 on retail card fees for the business.This was done by guiding and advising Mr Stitch on the most appropriate solutions for the business.
Goodwin & Goodwin
Goodwin & Goodwin approached SustainHaringey ahead of their energy renewal. Their electricity bills were reviewed by the PSP team who then carried our a tendering exercise across the market and made recommendations on a range of alternate suppliers.
The SustainHaringey team were instructed by the business to submit the contract change to secure the preferential rates and realised a saving of over £8,000 for Goodwin & Goodwin.
Dunn's Bakery
Dunn’s Bakery is an artisan bakery and a business with a long history in Haringey. PSP conducted a review of utility portfolios, which included looking at water and energy.
The SustainHaringey team identified a saving of over £350 by changing water supplier and plan to support the business further when their energy contract is up for renewal.
Turkish Cypriot Women's Project
PSP met with the business to review their business costs and identified over £850 of telecoms savings through review of landline and broadband costs. Utilising impartial expert advice we supported the business in correcting the name on their meters and a report to support the renegotiation of lower electricity costs, leading to a £1300 saving.
The SustainHaringey team also helped the business to forecast future outgoings and bookmarking contract renewals.

Celebrations Partyware
A family run business established in 1996. Professionally trained balloon decorators with 25 years experience in party décor. The meeting was part of additional support provided during the Cadent gas works on WestGreen Road, where roadworks were impacting footfall and trade for the businesses in the area.
The aim was to help businesses reduce their bottom line costs using our expert and impartial advice.The SustainHaringey team met with the business to discuss their costs and frustrations with current suppliers. A new water supplier was identified with a dedicated account manager for better customer service and a 40% saving on fees.
